The IDF announces that there will be a general closure of crossing points from Gaza as well as Yehuda and Shomron during Purim.
The Office of the IDF Spokesman announced that the general closure will begin on Wednesday, 20 March 2019. Crossings in Yehuda and Shomron into ‘Israel proper’ will closed as will be the case with Gaza crossings. The closure will begin on the night between Wednesday and Thursday, at midnight.
The closure will remain in effect until Shabbos, March 23, 2019, at midnight. That is to say, it will be lifted on motzei Shabbos to Sunday morning at midnight in line with a situation evaluation by the security establishment.
As has always been the case, the crossings will remain open to address urgent and humanitarian cases during the closure.
