An elderly mispallel davening in the Agudas Re’im Shul in Bnei Brak collapsed on Thursday morning. When EMS personnel arrived on the scene, they found him in cardiac arrest. CPR was begun.

The United Hatzalah spokesman said “paramedics and EMTs from the Bnei Brak branch began CPR and resuscitation on the elderly male who collapse during davening in the shul on Rabbi Akiva Street in Bnei Brak. He is now listed in critical condition.”

United Hatzalah paramedic Yaron Schiff reported that the victim was defibrillated, and his pulse returned. He was transported to Sheba Hospital at Tel Hashomer.
