A helicopter operated by the Israel Electric Corporation crashed on the side of Mount Meron during the construction of a high-voltage line, Monday afternoon. The pilot was alone in the chopper when it crashed.

Police and rescue forces were called to the scene, and miraculously, he was only lightly injured.

The 60-year-old pilot was transported to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
