After Two Years, Hamas Terrorist Responsible For Efrat Stabbing In Custody

The ISA (Israel Security Agency/Shin Bet), together with the Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Police, have arrested the perpetrator of the stabbing attack carried out in December 2016 in Efrat, during which an Israeli civilian was slightly injured.

According to the ISA, Hamas terrorist Ayman Muhammad Ali Fughara, 27, from Jurat a-Shama, purchased the knife in advance and then carried out the attack. He arrived in Efrat in order to murder Israelis and stabbed a civilian who happened to come his way.

The incident ended B’chasdei Hashem with a minor injury, as the terrorist spent more than 40 minutes in the community until he carried out his plot.

The injured man, Rafi Lisker, who reenacted the attack for the media, explained, “The terrorist stabbed me four times in his back and I am still here today, breathing. This is an absolute miracle.”

As stated, today more than two years after the attack, the terrorist was arrested. The findings of the investigation were transferred to the Military Prosecution in order to file an indictment in his case.
