A five-year-old Charedi boy is in the hospital with severe burns and is classified as being in moderate-to-serious condition after he accidentaly walked into a scalding shower and was injured. The incident took place in the family home of the boy in the Ramot Neighborhood of Jerusalem on Wednesday afternoon.
The family had been preparing a pot of boiling water in the bathtub. It is believed that the child accidentaly wandered into the bathroom and was seriously injured by the scalding water that burned him on the majority of his body.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMTs together with personnel from Magen David Adom rushed to the scene and treated the boy before transporting him to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
The boy arrived in the trauma unit with burns on more that 50 percent of his body. A spokesperson for the hospital said: “The boy’s condition is very serious and it is indeed life-threatening. After he was released from t he trauma unit he was sent to the intensive care unit for children in the hospital.

Preparing a pot of boiling water in the bathtub? Accidentally walks into the shower? This sounds at best weird, at worst suspicious.
People just don’t learn! Why is scalding water within reach if a toddler? Because people try to multi task , whether with phone , computer or any other technological gadget! Time to pay attention when handling dangerous items for children!!!!They should be your MOST PRECIOUS POSSESSIONS!!!!
