Emergency services were summoned on Tuesday afternoon to Chabad Street in Rehovot, as an eight-month-old girl was forgotten inside a vehicle for two hours.
The toddler was extricated from the vehicle in okay condition, with a neighbor explaining “this could’ve ended in tragedy, the parents must be more vigilant regarding the children and watching over them, not leaving them in the vehicle”.
United Hatzalah EMT Yossi Neiman explains, “when I arrived at the scene, remarkably, the toddler was still fully conscious. After being extricated she was transported in a paramedic ambulance to Kaplan Hospital nearby.
United Hatzalah officials remind the public to take necessary measures to prevent such occurrences, which may end in tragedy, and are voidable. Children are not to be left alone in vehicle, not even for a moment.

Whenever I’m driving and I have a baby in the back of the car, I take my left shoe off and leave it in the back. That way, as soon as I step out of the car, I will always remember the baby.
