The Blue and White headed by Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid, announced its election platform this week. According to a BeChadrei Chareidim report, the party has addressed draft version of a new draft law, which was not passed into law by the outgoing Knesset.

As was reported, the new political party has announced that they are going to accept the current version of the draft law which was comprised by the IDF senior command and the Defense Ministry. The chareidi parties are opposed to that version of the law, which states that if the draft quotas are not met after several years, financial sanctions will be implemented against yeshivas, and if those quotas are not met for additional years, criminal sanctions may follow.

According to the BeChadrei Chareidim report, a national network is going to be established under the IDF, in which they will be three tracks in which chareidim will be able to serve the country: security, education, society or community.

The IDF will divide the new planet the three systems and under the headline of security there will be ZAKA, police, the nation’s fire service, MDA, and the other EMS and rescue services. In addition, there will be the options of social, educational or community systems, which will be established.

The BeChadrei report quotes a member of the party anonymously, explaining “According to the new plan, if one is in the army for example, one would receive a commitment that he would become a permanent officer. If one volunteers and MDA that means one left the yeshiva, one would be an officer, providing one with an environment to grow. If one is engaged in the field of education one would receive a teaching certificate or certificate as a qualified social worker.”

The senior party official is quoted saying that he wishes to deliver a message to the chareidi community, “our path is not subordinate to Lapid’s history, what time is built a negative campaign, but it is built on Gantz’s last speech in which he said we want to live together with the chareidim.
