A “Regular Chareidi Fellow” Who Bought The Border Police A Meal

This act of chessed took place in the Nechama Bakery branch in the Givat Ze’ev neighborhood of Jerusalem involving a group of soldiers who sat down to eat a meal. At the conclusion of their meal, they got up to pay, learning that the NIS 447 bill was already paid for by an anonymous man.

When the border police came to the cash register, they were told the bill had already been paid, with the cashier handing the soldiers the note and bill that were left by the charitable man.

As seen in the accompanying photo from the BeChadrei Chareidim report, the man left a note saying, “Dear soldiers, who are moser nefesh for Am Yisrael”, then signed it “a regular chareidi fellow”.

A chareidi man decided to simply pay the bill anonymously and leave the store without making a fuss, a token of appreciation for what border police and soldiers do for Am Yisrael.
