Eida Hareidis spokesman Shmuel Oppenheim explains that the Jerusalem-based rabbinical court will send representatives to Jerusalem stores, requesting they refrain from selling chametz on Pesach, despite the Jerusalem court ruling permitting them to do so.
The rabbis feel taking a cordial approach will yield better results that stern methods, and they will explain to store-owners that selling chametz on Pesach will not bring them any true profit from the funds earned in violation of the Yomtov.
Also commenting on the court ruling on Tuesday was Jerusalem Mayor Uri Lupoliansky, who told the press on Tuesday that he never subscribed to the school of coercion, but feels more is always accomplished by dialogue and discussion.
The mayor is also calling on store owners to ignore the court ruling and continue adhering to the Pesach laws as has been in the past.

Interesting that the quarter finally went down by the Eida Hachareits and they finally understand that alot can be done with talking and not only by screaming and hands.
