Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Kulanu party, Moshe Kahlon, arrived Monday to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the new Magen David Adom National Dispatch Center in Kiryat Ono. The Minister toured the facility staffed by medics and paramedics using the most advanced technological systems for carrying out life-saving operations before the ambulance reaches the scene of the incident. During the visit, the Minister also received a briefing on MDA’s activities from the organization’s director general, Eli Bin, and needless to say, he was impressed by the use of technologies that enable: command and control of what is happening on the ground, the transfer of a picture of the situation and medical data of patients to hospitals, the transfer of visualization in real time from the field, an application that enables locating the victims in real time and more.
In addition, the Minister experienced an emergency driving simulator that simulates various driving conditions and the means at his disposal in a real ambulance responding to an emergency.
Magen David Adom’s national emergency center supervises all of MDA’s operational activities taking place in real time throughout the country, responsible for supervising and controlling the medical response and managing the response system for all emergency scenarios in Israel. Which enables it to respond to any emergency scenario in the Israeli homefront and abroad. This is a huge improvement in the vital services provided to citizens, and in combination with advanced technological capabilities for Israeli citizens in times of emergency.
Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon said “A body like Magen David Adom must receive the most assistance, and all the citizens of Israel who are in a state of emergency are using Magen David Adom and entrusting their lives to it. In my presence here, you gave me the right to be part of the professional and technological revolution of Magen David Adom, And I am proud to be part of a process that places the national rescue organization of the State of Israel on the international stage.”
MDA Director-General Eli Bin remarked “We are proud to inaugurate the first national rescue center of its kind in Israel, and I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart the Minister of Finance, Moshe Kahlon, whose sensitivity, compassion, his attentive ear, his compassion and his relationship to man. Magen David Adom is in a tremendous operational, technological, and human leap. The challenges facing Magen David Adom have no parallel in the world. We hope that the investment in the rescue organization will be a guiding light for the elected representatives of the public, and we appreciate and appreciate all your work for us and the citizens of the State of Israel.”
