A gag order was placed on the murders of the elderly Kaduri couple of the Armon HaNatziv neighborhood of Jerusalem in January 2019, as Mr. & Mrs. Yehuda (71) and Tamar (68) Kaduri were found murdered in their home.
Last week, police arrested a couple related to the victims for their involvement in the double murder. The couple was released to house arrest on Sunday morning by a local court.
The court on Sunday ordered them to remain in house arrest until Friday, March 1, 2019, as the husband is suspected in involvement in the double-murder and the wife is suspected of interfering with the police investigation.
However, the court still decided to release them with a mere NIS 5000 bail, in addition to ordering them to distance themselves from the office where the wife worked, from the murder scene for 30 days, as well as placing additional restrictions on them.
Last week, the couple was questioned ‘under warning’, which means police have gathered sufficient evidence in the case and a criminal indictment is likely. The attorney representing the couple who are suspect appealed the decision of the bail with restrictions to the Jerusalem District Court, which rejected the appeal.
Their attorney insists there was no cause or justification for their incarceration and the restrictions placed on them since they are completely innocent. The attorney, from the office of Shai & Shlomo Levi, insists the charges against their clients without merit as the two are completely innocent.
