The first 15 members of Shas assigned to the party’s lineup for the 21st Knesset elections gathered on motzei Shabbos in the Jerusalem Old City home of Chacham Shalom Cohen Shlita, the head of the party’s Moetzas Chachmei HaTorah, who gave them a bracha ahead of the start of the party’s election campaign.

Leading the delegation was party Chairman Aryeh Deri.

The atmosphere was described as being warm, as Rav Cohen wished them all well as well as giving a bracha for Shas to emerge with a major success in the elections, with many seats in Knesset, towards Kovod HKBH and permitting the party to be “MeKadesh Shem Shomayim”.
