An Arab man armed with a knife was apprehended by security officials on Thursday morning near an educational institution in Maale Ephraim, in the Jordan Valley region. The Arab male, who officials believed was planning a terrorist attack, was detained and then taken for questioning.

During questioning, the suspect explained he was in the area with a knife because he planned to cut flowers, not to perpetrate a terror attack. Authorities released the suspect.
