Quartet Envoy Blair Promising a Resumption of Aid to Gaza

Quartet representative to the Mideast Tony Blair released a statement on Monday that when Hamas changes realities in Gaza, international humanitarian aid will resume.

The former British prime minister made his remarks during a ceremony signing over funds to assist the Palestinian Authority in a $1.5 billion project towards constructing 30,000 new homes.

Blair stated that Hamas must recognize Israel’s right to exist and stop the warfare – explaining the international community is eager to bring aid to Gaza, but first, Hamas must comply with the Western community’s demands.

The Quartet is comprised of the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia.
