Police on Tuesday night arrested the mother of a four-year-old boy who died as result of drowning in a bathtub in his home in Eilat. The father complained to police following the unfortunate event. The mother was brought in for questioning and police are planning to arraign her before the Eilat Magistrate’s Court and ask to keep her incarcerated during the investigation.
Officials in Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva reported that resuscitation efforts were carried out on the child during the night but there was not choice but to pronounce him dead.
Dr. Amiad Alamor, a physician in the intensive care unit explained, “The boy arrived in critical condition and his respirations were assisted. During the night, everything was done to stabilize his condition but after CPR and resuscitation, we were compelled to pronounce the patient”.

Arrested? Is that the Israeli response to everything?
@YTAB
1) If the father filed a complaint against the wife, there was probably something else going on.
2) It’s not the Israeli response to everything. YWN only reports the cases of interest to the Yeshiva world – which is usually an extreme case. When major thoroughfares like Jabotinsky in Bnei Brak or Route 4 are blocked by an unannounced protest, it’s an extreme case. Trust me, YWN has no interest in noise disputes between neighbors where a ticket is given to the offending party.
