An 80-year-old chareidi man, a member of the Chabad community, was R”L killed after his vehicle slammed into a pole at Hodayah Junction on Route 3, in Israel.
United Hatzalah EMT Ariel Zohar reported that the victim suffered injury to his lower extremities and was extricated from the vehicle by fire rescue. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition, but was R”L Niftar after arriving to the hospital.
Police traffic investigators responded to the scene and they are working to determine just what occurred, leading to the accident.

Possibly a catosrophic medical event prior to the accident
Driving at the age of 80 is a highly controversial issue. Zkenim should discuss their health and reaction time with their doctors on an annual basis to avoid unnecessary accidents.
