A newborn child was found on a Netanya Street on Wednesday morning, wrapped in a towel. According to the MDA report, the infant appeared to have been born a few hours earlier and paramedics transported him to Laniado Hospital in the city. The child was conscious and suffering from hypothermia.
EMT Daniel Abarjil reported that when he arrived at the scene, a woman in her 40s directed him from a window to come up to her apartment. She told him that she found the baby in the street and brought him into the apartment, checked him and found him alive and conscious.
Laniado Hospital spokesperson Eshal Shachaf reported on Wednesday morning that the baby is admitted and undergoing tests to determine his condition.

We need to have laws that allow women to leave unwanted babies at a police or fire station—– no questions asked– like they have in multiple countries to save the babies.
Yes, but they should also identify themselves and if possible the father. We have enough yichus problems from non-halachic marriages. Whenever possible the yichus of the child should be determined, so they shouldn’t have to carry the stigma of safek-mamzer, or have trouble finding a shidduch.
Which NORMAL person would give birth and then leave the kid in the middle of a street… the parents should be dealt with accordingly.
