Speaking to the media in a pained voice, Noam Shalit, IDF Cpl. Gilad Shalit’s father told the media that he and his family is preparing for a second Pesach without Noam at home.

“I believe more could have been done towards obtaining Gilad’s release. He should have been home with us already.”

Regarding allegations made by Noam Shalit, officials stated they will not address the sensitive matter in a public forum.

Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni stated that she is pained by the realization that for some families, their children remain in captivity and she and other Israeli leaders around the world will have an empty seat and an extra cup of wine at their Seder table to remind us all of our responsibility to bring them home.
