Firefighters from Beit Shemesh were summoned for a car fire on Monday morning in the Harel Tunnels on Highway 1 in the direction of Jerusalem. It is reported that the fire was the result of an accident in the tunnel.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire while others were busy aerating the tunnel to prevent a smoke condition resulting from the accident. While there were significant delays, B’chasdei Hashem there was no loss of life or injuries.
