Minister of Religious Services Yitzchak Cohen (Shas) on Wednesday found NIS 10 million to be used towards paying back salaries in 40 different religious councils around Israel.

The release of funds by treasury officials was the result of weeks of negotiations by Cohen, who explained the employees will receive the money before Pesach.

Cohen stated that since the recent creation of the new office, this marks the second time he has succeeded in obtaining funds owed to employees.
