Dayan HaGaon HaRav Bentzion Boaron joins HaGaon HaRav Shalom Cohen Shlita, head of the Shas Moetzas Gedolei Torah, and Shas chairman Minister Aryeh Deri, speaking out against a call to unite with Yahadut Hatorah in the upcoming Knesset elections.

Dayan Boaron said, “Such an achdus is not good for the sephardim. It is contrary to the vision of HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L ZY”A, to restore the glory and one must thereby be extremely cautious”.

Regarding claims from some in the Yahadut Hatorah camp that the achdus will save Shas as the polls, Rav Boaron responded, “The claim they are concerned for us, that we will not pass the minimum threshold, this is nonsense. Four years ago, and all the years, it is the same thing. The polls are always against Shas, as they have a special hate for the sephardim and at the end, they disappointed themselves.”
