The IDF cleared publicizing an incident that occurred on Tuesday, 20 Iyar 5773 when communications was lost for over ten minutes with a Sky Rider drone gathering intelligence data in Gaza.
Protocol was implemented and soldiers were activated to head to the area in search of the pilotless surveillance aircraft. After searching for a period of time it was believed the plane might have gone down inside Gaza and was retrieved by the enemy.
After a search of over 12 hours the drone was recovered in a field inside an area of brush. IDF officials explain the incident was the result of a technical failure, adding the drone was damaged.

There are a lot more embarrassing incidents which have occured in the past, which not too many people know about.
