With a growing number of persons taking ill in Eretz Yisrael, rabbonim in Jerusalem’s Bayit Vegan neighborhood have decided to act, calling on the tzibur at large and Bayit Vegan residents, to take part in an atzeres hisorarus.

According to a Kikar Shabbos News report, the rebitzen of a noted mashgiach from Bayit Vegan is very ill, as well as a well-known rosh yeshiva from the community, both fighting the difficult illness R”L.

The report adds the rabbonim are aware that the wife of a noted Bayit Vegan philanthropist is ill, as well as a local Rosh Kollel, a brother of a local rav who is also a community resident, and others, leading to the rabbonim taking action.

The atzeres is set for Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 9:00PM, in the Gra Shul in Bayit Vegan. Among the other speakers expected to participate, HaGaon HaRav Yeshayahu Rotenberg will address the event.

At the atzeres, it will be decided what the tzibur is expected to do to prevent continued spread of illness among residents.
