A young man who was moderately injured was treated by EMTs from United Hatzalah on Sunday, after the electric gate located at the Dung Gate to the Old City of Jerusalem closed as the young man was passing by the entrance.

Nati Austeri of the motorcycle unit of United Hatzalah said that the injured person, who suffered from a serious injury to the limbs, was later evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital.

The circumstances of the case are under investigation by authorities.
