The new IDF Chief of Staff sat in the front row of his class. He entered the military in 1982, joining the paratroopers. In officers’ training, he was voted ‘most likely to become chief of staff’.
A “devoted vegetarian”, he holds a bachelor’s in philosophy from Hebrew University, as well as a master’s degree in public administration from Harvard University as well as a second M.A. in international relations from Johns Hopkins University.
