The yeshiva bachur who was buried on Wednesday night was identified as 19-year-old Meir Zamir, a resident of Yerushalayim.
Police and volunteers searched for him on Wednesday for two-hours until his lifeless body was discovered. Authorities emphasize that Lake Kinneret at times is dangerous and deceptive, and proper precautions must be taken.
A number of yeshiva students were enjoying a day off – but the day ended in tragedy with the death of Meir Z”L.
The levaya began at Yeshiva Kisei Rachamim in Bnei Brak where he learned, traveling to Yerushalayim for interment in Har Menuchos.
