The Israeli Police arrested a resident of Jerusalem on suspicion of stealing dozens of boxes of baby formula from grocery stores and supermarkets throughout Jerusalem and then offering them for sale in East Jerusalem neighborhoods.
The police investigation began following a number of complaints filed at police stations in Jerusalem about a person who used to enter supermarkets and grocery stores and steal boxes of baby formula. Police investigators who immediately opened an investigation managed to locate the suspect, a 30-year-old man from Jerusalem, and he was arrested on Monday night in Kfar Sava.
The suspect was brought for questioning by the police, during which suspicions arose that the suspect stole baby formula from stores many many times, cases of the product, which he sold in East Jerusalem neighborhoods.
He was arraigned on Monday morning.
