Israel police earlier this week shut the Jerusalem studio of Ram FM, a station which played western music, working to bridge the gap between Israelis and residents of the Palestinian Authority. The station is based in a PA autonomous area.
According to Ministry of Communications officials, the station, which aired on 93.6FM, was closed because it was broadcasting without a license, not for any other reason.
The station is reportedly owned by a South African Jewish businessman.
