HaGaon HaRav Nissim Karelitz Shlita, 92, was hospitalized on motzei Shabbos in Bnei Brak’s Mayanei HaYeshua Hospital due to an infection.

After consulting with family members, the decision was made to hospitalize Rav Karelitz to prevent his condition from deteriorating, Kikar Shabbos News reported, and the rav was transported by paramedics from the home of his son Rav Mordechai, on Rashbam Street in Bnei Brak.

It is reported the rav is conscious and alert, and the family calls on the tzibur to be mispallel for his recovery:
