SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*PA: 6 wounded in gunfight in Shechem between security forces and al-Aqsa Brigade gunmen on Tuesday evening.

*Rock attacks against motorists on Gush Etzion-Chevron Road near Beit Omar on Tuesday night. No injuries.

*A shaft to a weapons tunnel discovered by IDF soldiers in the Jabalya area of Gaza.

*Givati Brigade soldiers on Tuesday, in an exchange of gunfire, eliminated two terrorists in the Jabalya area of Gaza. An RPG launcher, rockets and assault rifles found aside their bodies. No injuries to soldiers.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested 19 suspects.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Israeli Arab residents of A-Taibeh, a Galil area village, painted their mosque blue and white in a 60th anniversary solidarity gesture. The town is home to some 2,000 residents.

*During excavation work in the Jaffa area of Tel Aviv, an old non-specified type of shell was discovered. Bomb-demolition technicians were dispatched to the scene.

*Moshe Kantor, who heads European Jewish Congress, calls for a total cessation of all business ties with Iran. He states current sanctions are inadequate.
