First Sergeant Sayef Bisan, a 21 year old IDF soldier from the village of Jat, was killed and two additional soldiers were lightly wounded during exchanges of fire with Palestinian gunmen in an overnight IDF operation against terror infrastructure in southern Gaza strip. The soldiers were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
 
During the operation, the force targeted and identified hitting two armed gunmen that were approaching the force.
 
In addition, 10 Palestinian suspects were taken for questioning in Israel.
 
The IDF will continue operating against terror infrastructure in the Gaza strip in order to prevent terror acts against the state of Israel and assure the safety of its citizens.
