The Israel Air Force has received its latest Shimshon cargo plane, known by most as the Hercules transport, which is housed in the Nevatim Base in Southern Israel. The plane arrived on erev Shabbos, 14 Teves.

The ceremony was headed by Brigadier-General Eyal Greenbaum and Brigadier-General H, the commander of the Pilots squadron.

The American “Lockheed Martin” Shimshon aircraft first arrived in Israel in 2014 and joined the heavy transport aircraft operating in cooperation with infantry and ground units.

The aircraft improves the capabilities of the Air Force and the heavy transport system.
