An Arab bus driver employed by the Kavim bus company was attacked and injured by Jewish youths on Thursday night on Chafetz Chaim Street in Modi’in Illit. His injuries were described as not serious.
According to the driver, once the youths determined that he is an Arab, they attacked him. The driver says two of the youths blocked the bus with their vehicle, then they got out of the vehicle and got on the bus and began beating him. As a result, a number of the many Arab drivers working the line have explained they will not continue on the line.
Kavim officials report the attack occurred at 11:15PM as the driver was on his route and as a result, some of the drivers in the area office are striking while others are implanting a work slowdown in protest against the assault. “The company will not tolerate violence against its employees and will seek the full weight of the law against those responsible. The company is working in earnest to restore regular service”.
Yisrael Gonen, who represents the national drivers’ union, visited the injured driver in the hospital, using the opportunity to condemn the attack, asking if authorities will wake up or wait until a driver is killed on the road. Addressing Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz, Gonen added, “Mr. Minister, we are in life-threatening danger day in and day out”.

This is both dangerous and a massive Chillul Hashem – consequences can be most serious R”L.
Unfortunately the city is plagued by so called young “Pirchachim” OTD’s making live of residents sometimes quite miserable.

This is an unfortunate but not unexpected attack. A significant percentage of the population no longer have any faith in the Israeli regime. They see Jews being murdered and nothing of significance being done to either prevent further murders or to punish those responsible for the murders. I pray there will not be any further such acts but unless the ministers and especially the Prime Minister of the regime do not stop their narcissistic bickering and actually do something, the situation will only get worse. Also let us not forget that we do not yet know who were the attackers or their motivation.
Whoever made this video has not been such a smart person. Condemning the whole of the Arab people for a group of fundamentalists. Shame you dare to say: “you are sinners!” Very unwise certainly in the light of this massive Chillul Hashem.
Aryeh Zalesko, You’re right!!
Everyone can say that this is a ‘massive Chillul Hashem’, but it is really the government that does not stop and prevents the murder of the Jews, and does not avenge the cursed murderers.
Bibi’s apathy causes frustrated young people to take the law into their own hands.
