Following Friday’s sniper attack that left Moti Gil, Public Security Minister Avi Dichter’s bureau chief moderately wounded, Hamas released a statement that it planned to murder the senior minister.
A Hamas statement released on Friday night stated the intended target was the minister. The terror organization’s statement added that while it was not clear when Dichter was to arrive, once a large vehicular convoy moved into the area of Kibbutz Nir Am, it was clear he was in the area.
