Despite travel advisories for the area, Israelis continue to travel to Sinai, signaling they remain unconcerned of terror threats in the area.
On Saturday, Egyptian forces in Sinai were involved in a hunt for two Sudanese nationals suspected of planning a major attack against an area resort. There were reports they were carrying explosives in a truck.
Local authorities indicated the Sudanese remain committed to carrying out a major attack in the area, announcing additional checkpoints were established and other measures taken to prevent such an occurrence.
A number of major terror attacks against Sinai resort areas were perpetrated in the years 2004-2006.
