A potentially deadly terror attack was thwarted yesterday morning (Saturday, April 13).
A Palestinian male was arrested when he arrived at the Eliyahu crossing, armed with an improvised firearm, ammunition and a map of the crossing. He intended to commit a terror attack at the crossing, which services populations in transit between the Tel Aviv metropolitan area and the Qalqilya area.
Reserve soldiers at the site were alert to his suspicious behavior and thwarted a potentially deadly attack, which could have also impacted the quality of life of the area’s residents by affecting the operations of the crossing.
