In a Thursday afternoon interview, MK (Ta’al) Dr. Ahmed Tibi told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) that he did not take part in any unauthorized meetings in Lebanon.

Tibi explained he was returning from Yemen, adding there were no direct flights, compelling his stopover in Beirut. “We did not even get off the plane” he added, explaining the plan was serviced and then he took off for Jordan. He also pointed out that his visit to Yemen was authorized.

Tibi added that if he decides to take part in meetings in Lebanon he will do so via the appropriate channels, and he will do it publicly, not having to attempt to hide his actions.

Tibi did add that while in Jordan, he met with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen).
