SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*IDF soldiers attacked by Arabs hurling rocks near Kiryat Arba on Thursday night. Officials explain during a pursuit of the suspect, he tried grabbing a soldier’s weapon and was shot, reported to be in light condition.

*The IDF folded up ten checkpoints located near the Tulkarem, Shechem, Ramallah, Kalkilye and Jenin areas on Thursday night. Earlier in the week, a checkpoint removed from near the community of Rimonim was restored following protests from community residents.

*A passenger bus travel near the Gush Etzion community of Maale Amos was attacked by Arabs throwing rocks. No injuries.

*Rock attacks against Jewish motorists were reported during the early evening hours on Thursday night. No injuries were reported.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*Gazan sources reported gunmen in Gaza on Thursday night destroyed a World War I memorial that was standing in a cemetery. No additional information.

*One of the survivors of the Merkaz HaRav attack on Thursday night while seeking a bracha from Mekubal Rav Batzri in Jerusalem collapsed. Hatzolah treated him on the scene and he was transported to a Jerusalem hospital by a MDA advanced life support paramedic unit. His condition remains unclear.

*Military police are investigating an incident on IDF Officer’s Training Base in which an Israeli flag was found set ablaze in the ceremonial promenade of the base.
