Agudas Yisrael on Tuesday evening signed a coalition agreement to become a member of the new Haifa administration, working under Mayor Einat Kalish-Rotem. Agudah has one seat at the city council table, and its representative is Aryeh Blitenthal. Agudah backed the loser in the race, former mayor, Yonah Yahav.

It is added that for the time being, agreement has not been reached between Shas and Kalish-Rotem. In fact, it appears Shas does not appear to be willing to get along with the new mayor for now and as such, it appears it will prefer to remain in opposition, at least for the time being.
