The Tel Aviv District Court on Tuesday sentenced Maheh Saser, a resident of Qalqilye, to life in prison plus five years for the 1995 murder of security guard Amos Hajaj, 23.
Saser managed to flee the country after murdering his Jewish victim, but he was tracked down about three years ago and brought to justice. The additional five-year sentence was for his fleeing after being in custody following the act of terrorism.
He was arrested after the murder, and confessed to his actions, but was able to make an escape.
