An Israel Police spokesman from the Coastal District reports there was a motor vehicle accident on Sunday afternoon, on Route 75, involving a truck, a bus and private vehicle. The accident took place between Checkpoint Junction and Yagur Junction.
As a result of the crash, four persons were injured, with one being in serious condition, two moderate and one light. They were transported to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
United Hatzalah reports that a female about 20-years-old was seriously injured. A male about 35 was injured moderate-to-seriously and a male about 30 was in light-to-moderate condition. They were treated by United Hatzalah personnel from the Carmel district. UH area commander, Naftali Rothenberg added that some of the victims were trapped and had to be extricated from their vehicle.
Magen David Adom reports the call arrived at 1:13PM. It transported the injured to Rambam, listing a 25-year-old male in serious condition, sedated and paramedics assisting his respirations as he has a head injury. The second victim, another female, about 20, was also listed in serious condition, also intubated and sedated with multisystem trauma. A 40-year-old male is moderate with thoracic injuries and the last victim sustained light injuries.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
