Professor Simcha Goldin, father of IDF Lt. Hadar Goldin HY”D, was outside the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem on Sunday, accompanied by a groups of about 50 people, including Hadar’s mother, Dr, Leah Goldin. He announced that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is the only address for getting the body of his son back from Hamas as he is not both Prime Minister and Defense Minister.

About fifty people accompanied the Goldins, as they announced this was the 30th consecutive week they are holding the ‘Salute to Hadar’. However, after Mr. Netanyahu assumed the post of Defense Minister last week, the decision was made to move the weekly event from the ‘Black Arrow Monument’ in the Gaza border area to outside the PM’s Residence on Sunday.

Prof. Goldin announced on Sunday morning, “From our perspective, Prime Minister/Defense Minister Netanyahu has become the only address and he is responsible for returning the sons from Gaza. I call on Netanyahu to listen to the voices from the field and instead of sending additional suitcases filled with money to Gaza, to act to bring home the sons. All entry of aid to Gaza that is not life-saving, harms efforts to bring home Hadar and Oren, Avraham and Hisham back home to Israel.

Prof. Goldin is referring to his son and Sgt. Oren Shachor HY”D, who fell in battle during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza during the summer of 2014. Their bodies were taken by Hamas terrorists. In addition, there are Israelis Avera Avraham Mengistu and Bedouin citizen Hisham a-Sayed, with the last two being mentally unstable, and they entered Gaza voluntarily in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
