Rescue teams had to be activated on numerous occasions during the last rain storm, and it appears this time around, officials are taking the preemptive move to prevent a repeat situation.

An info message released to the media on Thursday states: Due to the expected weather over the weekend, all the Judean Desert nachals will be closed to the public (including Qumran) from through Shabbos. This includes Nachal Dargah, Nachal Ohg and Wadi Kelt.
