PHOTOS: Palestinian From Shechem Nabbed With Stolen Goods In Hand

(PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

A PA (Palestinian Authority) resident of occupied Shechem was nabbed red-handed by Israel Police in Petach Tikvah after breaking into an apartment in the city.

According to a Sharon district Israel Police spokesman’s report, the 42-year-old PA resident was caught a short time after he broke into an apartment in Petach Tikvah, stealing passports, jewelry and currency. This was the result of increased neighborhood patrols by police last week, with cops on the beat seeing a man who appeared suspicious and ‘out of place’. When they stopped him and checked his bag, they found he had broken into the Stumpffer Street apartment and had jewelry, a laptop computer, $260, perfume bottles, a passport and more.

The suspect was arraigned last Thursday in the Petach Tikvah Magistrate’s Court and remanded for an additional five days. The suspect’s attorney appealed before the Lod District Court on Friday, but the court supported the earlier decision, backing up the decision by police that he remain incarcerated.

A criminal indictment was filed against the suspect on Sunday and he was then ordered held without bail pending the outcome of the criminal trial against him.
