After 15 days being held by Palestinian Authority police, an eastern Jerusalem Arab family turned to Israel Police for assistance in obtaining the freedom of a family member.
Israel police did intervene, leading to the release of the person in question. The PA officer responsible for his abduction, also an eastern Jerusalem resident, turned himself over to Israeli authorities and will face kidnapping charges. He was permitted bail with restrictions.
