B’chasdei Hashem: Improvement In Condition Of Soldier Wounded In Rocket Attack On Bus

Officials in Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva are B’chasdei Hashem reporting a significant improvement in the condition of the 19-year-old IDF soldier who was seriously wounded in a Hamas rocket attack against a bus.

The soldier is no longer on a respirator, and he is conscious and communicating with his surroundings. It is expected that he will be moved from an intensive care unit to a surgical unit. Prof. Moti Klein, the head of general ICU explains the soldier underwent difficult surgery to remove all of the shrapnel that pierced his body. “He seems to be recovering rapidly” explains Klein.

Some 50 chareidi soldiers got off the bus about a minute before the attack, which left the victim full of shrapnel. He arrived in the trauma unit of Soroka in very serious condition.

The soldier’s dad has demanded a probe into the attack, questioning why the bus traveled in an exposed area when the IDF had intelligence warnings of such an attack, even closing an area road to civilian vehicles and halting train service in the area.

The family calls on the tzibur to continue being mispallel for Shoval Michael ben Michal bsoch sha’ar cholei yisroel.
