The government appears committed to dismantle 26 unauthorized Yesha outposts in the coming days as it steps up efforts in this area. It appears the most recent trip of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice served as an impetus to compel the government and Civil Administration authorities to begin removing the homes of residents of these areas located in Yehuda and Shomron.

Settlement leaders express anger of the government’s choosing to turn a blind eye to ongoing and widespread illegal Arab construction while focusing only on the Jewish sector.
