The death of a rabid dog in Moshav Aviad in the southern Golan Heights has prompted a local health alert. Anyone who may have been in contact with the animal between March 5-19, 2013 is instructed to call local health officials at 04-67-1-0300. Some people may have to undergo prophylactic treatment.
Dog owners in the community must also contact local veterinary officials for instructions.
