Former Gaza Division Commander Tzvika Fogel on Monday morning spoke with KAN Bet News, explaining that the current situation is both ridiculous and unacceptable. He rejects statements from politicians who state there is no alternative to the current one vis-à-vis Gaza and Hamas. Fogel explains that instead of distributing suitcases of money to the Hamas leadership, it would be far more beneficial to offer a cash reward to any Gazan with accurate information pertaining to the terrorist leadership and their operations. He promises such a policy would provide all the accurate information required, within a matter of days.

Fogel said the IDF must strike out against anyone that feels that wish to eradicate us, and this is the case in Gaza, adding Israel “never tried to eliminate Gaza” and this is at the core of the problem, citing the recent military operations in Gaza never intended to bring down the Hamas leadership, and this is why the situation repeats itself and Hamas continues improving its military capabilities and weaponry.

Fogel added that because he is as outspoken as he is, he no longer serves in reserve duty.

He added that anyone who genuinely cares about Israel’s future ten and twenty years down the road, cannot think about his political future and must order a decisive operation in Gaza to bring an end to heading into limited military operations every two years and asking so many Israelis to live under the unacceptable conditions they do in the southern areas.
