A driver on motzei Shabbos blew the inspection checkpoint at Tapuach Junction in the Shomron, almost striking border policemen and police stationed at that venue.

Border police signaled the driver to stop for inspection and suddenly, he hit the gas and blew the checkpoint, almost striking one policeman who was trying to prevent the vehicle from fleeing. B’chasdei Hashem, no one was hit.

Officials explain the driver was most likely not a terrorist, but the driver of a stolen vehicle.
